Home/AI Receptionist/Electrical
Built for electrical contractors

Your panel trips at 11 PM. Their bedroom goes dark.

Dead outlets, burning smells, sparking breakers: electrical calls skew dangerous and after-hours. Our AI receptionist triages safety first, advises the caller to cut the main breaker when needed, pages your on-call master electrician, and routes permit-required work separately. No missed emergencies. No unsafe guessing.

A real call

How it handles a real electrical safety call.

Burning smell from an outlet. 11 PM on a weeknight. Your shop's closed. The AI isn't.

AIThanks for calling [Your Shop], this is Alex. How can I help you tonight?
CallerThere's a weird burning smell coming from the outlet in my kid's bedroom, and the breaker keeps clicking off.
AIThat's a safety issue, so I'm going to treat this as urgent. First, for your family's safety, please turn off the main breaker in your electrical panel right now. That's the big switch at the top of the panel box. Can you do that?
CallerYeah, I can go do that. Is there a fire?
AIThere may not be, but a burning smell with a tripping breaker means we don't take chances. If you ever see visible smoke, flames, or hear buzzing from the panel, call 911 first. For now, cut the main breaker and I'm paging our on-call master electrician, Dave. What's the address?
Caller219 Shady Oak. And okay, I'm heading to the panel now.
AIPerfect. Dave will be there shortly. Once the main is off, stay out of the bedroom until he arrives. Is there anyone sleeping in that room right now?
CallerNo, my son's at his mom's tonight.
AIGood. You're doing the right things. Help is coming.

Built for electrical

Built for the way electrical shops actually run.

Not a generic answering service. Real safety logic, permit awareness, commercial/residential routing.

Safety-first triage

Smoke, burning smell, sparking, buzzing panel: the AI flags it as urgent and advises the caller to cut the main breaker before the tech arrives. Visible flames or smoke route the caller to 911 first, then page your on-call tech.

On-call master electrician paging

Your rotation schedule lives in the system. The AI pages the right licensed electrician with full transcript, caller address, GPS directions, and a safety flag. No missed pages, no unlicensed improvisation.

Warranty & repeat-customer recognition

Mrs. Chen calls about flickering lights. The AI knows you installed her panel two years ago, flags the call as a warranty-window follow-up, and routes to the original tech. Repeat customers aren't treated like cold leads, and you don't accidentally sell a covered job.

Service-area filtering

Caller outside your zone? The AI politely declines and offers a referral. You don't waste time on jobs you can't profitably serve.

Overflow + after-hours modes

Works alongside your CSR during the day, picking up when your team is on another call, or runs around the clock solo if you prefer. Your choice.

Maintenance & membership capture

Recurring revenue lives in annual maintenance. The AI offers every new caller a membership, tags repeat customers for follow-up, and prompts opt-in for panel inspections, surge-protection checks, and whole-home safety audits.

Electrical FAQ

The stuff electrical owners ask.

What if someone calls reporting smoke or a burning smell?+

The AI escalates immediately. First it advises the caller to cut their main breaker for safety. If there are flames or visible smoke, it routes the caller to 911 first, then pages your on-call electrician for emergency dispatch. Safety comes before booking every time.

How does it handle permit-required work?+

The AI captures scope (panel upgrade, service change, new circuit, etc.), flags the job as permit-gated, and notifies you separately so you can handle filing. It never promises a next-day install on work that requires inspection.

Can it differentiate commercial from residential?+

Yes. The AI asks caller type up front, routes per your rules (different techs, different rates, different dispatch boards if you use them), and books the correct job type. Commercial work doesn't end up on a residential tech's truck.

Does it actually book the job, or just take a message?+

It books. The AI triages the call, books the appointment into your calendar (Cal.com or Google), attaches the recording and transcript, and tags safety or permit flags. We can connect most other tools through their API. It's not just a message taker.

What happens to my phone number if I cancel?+

Your number is yours. It ports back to you on cancellation, free. We never hold numbers hostage.

Are calls recorded? Who owns the data?+

Yes, calls are recorded with the TCPA-required disclosure at the start. All recordings, transcripts, and caller data are yours, with full export on cancellation. Default retention is 90 days, configurable.
